AI Is Fast. Reality Isn’t
One thing I’ve been reminding myself recently is this:
AI moves incredibly fast.
Reality doesn’t.
With AI, I can build prototypes in hours, generate dozens of ideas in a day, and iterate on designs almost instantly. Every week feels like months of progress compared to a year ago.
It’s easy to start believing the whole world now moves at that speed.
It doesn’t.
Customers still need time to adopt new ideas.
Markets still need time to react.
Organizations still need time to align.
Trust still has to be earned.
The physical world still moves at the speed of reality.
I think this creates a new challenge for leaders.
The virtual world rewards speed.
The real world rewards patience.
Good leadership is becoming less about choosing one over the other, and more about knowing when you’re operating in each world.
Move as fast as AI allows.
Wait as long as reality requires.
