Meta Learning

Many people start learning before understanding the structure of the learning itself.

---

Every meaningful skill has structure.

There are:
- foundations

- dependencies

- checkpoints

- abstractions

- common failure points

---

Without seeing that structure,
learning can become random motion.

Lots of effort.
Slow progress.

---

A beginner pianist may practice difficult pieces too early.

A beginner programmer may learn advanced frameworks before understanding fundamentals.

Not because they are lazy or incapable,

but because they cannot yet see the learning map.

---

I think good learning often starts with meta learning.

Understanding:
- what the journey looks like

- what order things connect in

- which skills are foundational

- where feedback and correction are needed

---

Then we move through the map:

practice,
feedback,

course correction,

repetition.

---

Experts don’t just know more.

They usually see the learning map more clearly.
